The brain is surrounded by three membranes called meaninges, which help to protect it. Pairs of cranial nerves arise from the brain.      The brain is broadly divided into three regions : foreman, midbrain and hindbrain. The four brand consists mainly of cerebrum. The midbrain does not have any further divisions. The hindbrain consists of three centres called pons, cerebellum and medula. 1.   MAGNETISM IN HUMAN BEINGS          Extremely weak electric currents are produced in the human body by the movements of charged particles called ions. These are called ionic currents. Now, we have studied that whenever there is an electric current, a magnetic field is produced.   So, when the week any current flow along the nerve cells, they produce magnetic field in our body. For example, when we try to stretch something with our hand, our nerves carry electric impulse to the appropriate muscles. And this electric impulse creates a temporary magnetism in the body.
